Swap Finishes March-June

HAPPY MAIL!

Who doesn’t like happy mail? Since March I have been involved in 8 quilty swaps. Below you will find all my makes as well as the happy mail I received in return.

What is a swap?

A swap is an organized way for crafters to exchange artsy creations with each other. The swaps I join are all related to sewing in some way. Sometimes you exchange finished gifts and other times you send quilt blocks for the receiver to use anyway they like. Sometimes “extra” gifts are required and these sometimes include fat quarters, and other fun sewing notions. Other extras may include zippered pouches, pincushions, or other fun fabric/fiber creations!

Why join a swap?

A swap is a fun way to not only receive fun gifts but it can also be a place to make new friends and acquaintances. It also helps to test your skills and creativity. What your swap partner likes may not be your style. It challenges you to think and create outside your comfort zone.

The Swaps I Created: (They are not in order)

This is my Flamingo Dog! It was made for the #tqssummerswap. I had to make an 18″ pillow cover for this swap. Find the pattern here.
My Sparkler Pincushion I made for the #pincushionswap2021 The pattern is available here.
The mini quilt I made for #tqs_secretcolourswap2021 This swap was all in greyscale till our partners received it in the mail! There is a tutorial here.
My coffee mug rug for the #tradealittleluck swap. This swap we made our partners lucky things. You can find the pattern here
Fabric fillable eggs for the #fabriceggextravanganza swap. The pattern can be found here.
This is from my very first swap. This was for the #feelingluckminiswap. This swap we had to make one quilt block using the newly released Lucky Quilt by Pen and Paper Patterns.
This was the Snack Goals Swap. Right up my ally with my love of food! #snackgoalsswap My projects are super frilly but my partner loved vintage/lacy and full bib aprons. She also likes the colors above and tea.
This is my coaster for the #coasterswap2021. My coaster went all the way to Great Britain!
