Flamingo Dog FREE Pattern

Hello!

If you determine the seasons with the equinoxes and solstices then it isn’t quite summer yet.

BUT…if you are me, summer begins at Memorial Day and ends on Labor Day (here in the states).

I wanted to share with you a pattern I created a couple months back for a fun quilt swap that I participated in.

My partners likes and Instagram mosaic inspired me to create a unique quilt block for her summer pillow cover, which was the project for the swap.

Here you will find the pattern. It is FREE and I hope you enjoy it. I would classify this pattern as intermediate to advance due to the amount of pieces and angels, and it also includes applique. This pattern is foundation paper piecing and no formal instructions are included so knowledge is required. However, you can just search the web and find loads of great tutorials showing you how to begin the fun art of foundation paper piecing.

If you like the pillow cover I made you can hop over to another tutorial I wrote. It shows you how to make an 18″ envelope pillow cover. The “Flamingo Dog” pattern finishes 12″ square. To make the pillow cover you will need the final size of the front to measure 18″ square. You can jump over to that tutorial here.

Below here is the file. For other FREE patterns click the link at the top of the page or visit my Etsy shop to purchase other patterns. Thank you for your support of my small shop.
