Sew it Show it Challenge: Sweet on You

February is the month of “Love” and who doesn’t love being sweet on things? Are you sweet on treats? Are you sweet on stitching a special project? Are you sweet on, well anything you love?

I am sweet on many things, including my children, husband, Girl Scout cookies…. the list is endless. But for you today I am sweet on my newest pattern, the My Little Melody Pouch.

This pattern was released last month and honestly, I am in love with it! It’s one of those patterns (whether you wrote it or not) that once you make one, it’s hard not to make another one…and another one. It is that simple. In fact, the fabric, color and piecing possibilities are anything you can imagine!! However, I didn’t just want to showcase the pattern or the pouch. No, this is a blog hop about what you are sweet on. So, I made some My Little Melody pouches with some things that I truly am sweet on, like cookies and donuts and fun fabric!

If you like to applique, I recently designed some seashell printables that are designed specifically for this pouch. You can find those free printables over on Thermoweb’s blog.

Thanks for joining me. Check out the other bloggers who are sharing today, or check out the whole list HERE!

  1. Yes, choosing joy, in every circumstance! The pouch is adorable. Zippers are not my friends, so I will look for someone to make one for me. LOL I loved seeing what you are sweet on, too, A GS was at my door today, as she is every year, but wow they’ve gone up! No 10-box order today. Thanks for a great inspiration for gifts.

  2. I’m sweet on my family, sewing with scraps, the nature around me, and just “being”. Your pouches are cute, and they look like they would be quite useful as well. Isn’t it fun to make something that gives us pleasure. Thanks for sharing, and good luck with your designs

  3. Your pouches are adorable! Love them. Those zippers are so great, where did you find them? Such sweet fabrics and I agree – bring on the cookies and donuts.

  4. I love sweets, too. Your bags are so darn sweet. Neat to know they are easy (and fun) to make.

  5. What fun fabric for your pretty pouches! I”ve never seen the multi-colored zippers, but they are perfect for this application. Thanks for sharing.
