We are at week five of the Whirl & Twirl Quilt Along. If you are just joining me THANK YOU! If you are interested in joining, the only requirement is that you purchase my Whirl & Twirl Quilt pattern. You can find it HERE. and if you use the coupon WANDTQAL you will get 30% off through the end of this QAL (good through April 5, 2022). You can find week one HERE.

This week we are basting, quilting and binding our main quilt. To make things super easy for myself, I used SpraynBond basting adhesive. I love using this for larger quilt projects. I detest pin basting larger pieces. I can never get it to be completely smooth on both sides and I always end up getting puckers no matter how hard I try. I will usually only use pins to baste smaller projects. It does come at a cost, but I believe it is worth it for all the hard work put into larger quilts.
I have a timeline of progression for the QAL but there is no rule saying you need to complete it in the same time frame. Take your time and have fun! Each week I will post a video with tips and tricks or just a “checking in” video for the weeks we are assembling our blocks, quilts etc.
I am not going to reveal the main Whirl & Twirl Quilt this week. I will wait and do a double reveal next week. How is your Whirl & Twirl quilt and bonus quilt coming along? Comment below and share your progress on social media with the hashtag #whirlandtwirlqal so I can see all your amazing work!
