Hello!
Today’s post is to celebrate a UFO finish. I started a project with one of my mother’s quilt groups over a year ago. They were doing the Layer Cake Sampler quilt. I eagerly began my project but quickly lost interest as I was making more Monster Quilt Blocks and honestly making a bunch of half square triangles just got “boring” lol!
Fast forward to recently… I was creating a space on my shelves for my new Island Batik goodies, and I came across the 96 half square triangles that I had already made. Well, they needed a quilt to call home, so I put together a small lap quilt. It is a bit crazy, but it is finished!
I had a lot of fun trying out a new to me free motion quilt pattern. It is very groovy and matches the quilt well.

Have you had any quilt finishes recently? Let me know in the comments below!
Happy sewing.

It always feels good to finish a project like this! What a cheerful quilt it is, too!
