It’s been a long time since my last quilt along post. Hybrid learning at home has just gotten into a groove for me and the kids but in just 2 short weeks they will go back to 5 days a week. I am grateful for that but I will miss my kiddos.
I am excited though, to be able to devote my “quiet time” to blogging and pattern development. Currently my quiet time–which is when the little one naps–is filled with number bonds, spelling, addition, reading etc… We have had our ups and downs but overall I have enjoyed my time playing teacher. If my dream to be a pattern designer/blogger doesn’t add up I might look into substitute teaching as my first job when I get back into the workforce when little one goes into first grade.
During my hiatus of blogging I discovered other quilt alongs and people to follow on Instagram– that may help get my second quilt along followed by more people. So my time away from here was not all just school and kids. More on that later…
Well here we FINALLY are at week 8 of my Starting to Bloom quilt along. Just like the other weeks it there is an * that piece is omitted from the pattern. Happy sewing!
