We are at week 4 and this week I went back to making the larger size. Each week I will rotate between the larger flowers and smaller ones.
This week I played with adding more background fabric to create a unique pattern with one of my flowers. It’s whimsical and fun. If you are just joining, the * means that piece from the original pattern is omitted.

For my second flower this week, I really like the fabric I used for the middle section. In my scrappy bin I found this gardening fabric that is a nice addition to my flower garden.

Most of my scraps come from late Aunt’s collection so I am still finding little surprises in my scrappy bins and fat quarters.

Don’t forget to hashtag #startingtobloomquiltalong on your social media platform choice! I would love to see everyone’s color choices and blooming flower gardens.
