It is such a happy day to see this blooming quilt finished. It had a short break in the middle but I am so happy it is complete. This beauty was quilted on my brand new Janome 8200 machine and it quilted it like a dream! Previously I was using a (Walmart special) Brother sewing machine that was almost 10 years old. My little machine worked well but it always gave me trouble with 1/4″ seams and thicker items. In addition, quilting on it was not so simple since the throat space was sooooo tiny. My new machine has an 11″ space between the needle and motor!
I am excited to teach my daughter Dahlia more skills on the smaller machine here in the near future. I am also going to chronicle her journey here on my blog.
