Sew the Scrap out of March 1st Week Update

Today is Monday so that means today I showcase all the scrappy creations I created in the last 7 days.

This month I am sewing almost everything I make with my scraps. This week I experimented with different pouch designs, made several refillable fabric eggs, two origami needle pouches and a total of 29 string quilt blocks. I also took my scraps and trimmed them down into workable strips, squares and rectangles. I also worked on two foundation paper piecing patterns I designed using my scrap bin as well.

I am very happy with that I accomplished last week and I look forward to what this week brings.

Each block measures 6 1/2″ square unfinished. The only rule I had when I was making these blocks was that there were NO RULES! Some have 5 strips. Some have more!
The whole lot!

Are you sewing the scrap out of March? Comment and let me know what you are doing!

Happy Sewing!
