Welcome, Quilt Block Mania fans, to my site Inflorescence Designs. I am so joyful you are here! Each month will feature a quilt block you can get for FREE! The blocks might be traditional pieced, paper pieced or applique (I love doing all of these techniques).
This month’s theme is Desserts, and I chose to add more cookies to my quilt block cookie collection. This month you will find my Thumbprint Cookie pattern. BONUS! There are cutting instructions included in the pattern that allow you to make an iced sugar cookie as well!
The Thumbprint and Iced Sugar Cookie blocks will only remain free for the month of January 2023. After that, it will join my other cookie patterns in my shop. You can check those blocks out HERE.
Check out all the other FREE blocks this month!

Continue to bloom by choosing JOY ~ Julia
Hi Julia, I do charity sewing for Hearts for Hope boxes. These are for Children with Cancer. I have done small fabric hearts with little pockets for them to put small treasures in. Question … would it be acceptable if I used the 6in block version for this cause? I would put little pockets on the back of this block for their little treasures. Thanks for your consideration for this request. Nan R.
