Let me just begin by saying that I am OBSESSED with pumpkins.
I don’t know what it is about them, but for as long as I can remember, I have always adored them.
I have made several kinds of fabric pumpkins. The tube kind might be the most simple but my latest sewn pumpkin might be my favorite.
Crafter’s Edge Pumpkin
Using the Crafter’s Edge Crossover II and their beach ball die gives you such a sweet pumpkin shape. It also gives you subtle ridges that you don’t usually get when making the simple sewn tube pumpkin.
Check out my tutorial below and you can be on your way to making your very own fabric pumpkins.
Supplies:
- Fabric
- Crafter’s Edge Crossover II
- Beach Ball Die
- Sewing machine
- Needle and Coordinating Thread
- Fiber Fill Stuffing
- Stem Embellishment or Fabric
Instructions:
I love how you still have a pumpkin shape even with no definition. This is one of several reasons I love this new pattern.
At this point, you can add any kind of stem you choose. Here are some ideas:
- Cinnamon Stick
- Rolled Felt
- Wooden Stick
- Twigs
- Sewn Stem **
