Island Batik: No-Sew Fabric Snowflakes

Hello and welcome to Inflorescence Designs! I am so joyful you are here. Today on the blog I debut my FINAL Island Batik Designer Challenge. My year as an Island Batik Ambassador was amazing! I am sad to go but I am so thankful for the opportunity to have been chosen for the 2024 year. I chose not to re-apply due to my new responsibilities as a preschool-8th grade Art and STEAM teacher.

For December’s challenge we were given the opportunity to choose what we wanted to do. I chose to make a no sew fabric snowflake which opens the opportunity for others who may be intimidated by sewing or perhaps may not have the necessary materials to sew something. This would also be a great project in the classroom-fabric or paper!

For this project I used 4 10″ squares from Island Batik’s Squiggles Dots and Lines Fabric Stacker.

The snowflakes also use several products from Thermoweb including, HeatnBond Ultra, HeatnBond Pressing Paper, Glitter Dust Spray and PeelnStick Fabric Adhesive Sheets.

For this project, I created a Full YouTube Video Tutorial. You can find that tutorial over on Thermoweb’s Blog and YouTube Channel. Click HERE!

Thank you for visiting today!  Come back soon to see what else will be starting to bloom with Inflorescence Designs!
