The Challenge: Life can send us spinning sometimes, so let’s put those spins and whirls to good use in a quilt. Make something with pinwheel blocks, circle quilting, or whirly gigs. Try not to whirl out of control!
For today’s hop I have the opportunity to share a fun tutorial I made a few months back. I only shared it on my YouTube channel knowing this hop was on its way!
In January, for the White Rabbit Blog Hop, I shared a fun cathedral window pin cushion I made. I played with the design some more at the time, knowing that a fun pinwheel blog hop was coming soon, and I fashioned a pinwheel pin and clip cushion in the same way as the cathedral window one.
While it has been on my YouTube since the beginning of January and my Instagram as a reel a couple weeks ago, I am finally getting to share it here with all of you! And if I am being honest, I like this design better!!

What a great idea to have a pin cushion as well as a place for clips!
The 3D pinwheel has been very popular in this blog hop and for good reason. I love how sweet your pincushion turned out! Thanks for sharing, Julia!

keeping the clips from sliding to the floor for my dogs to chew and or hide is priceless. Great clipcushion.
Great idea! Thanks for sharing.
Keep seeing these 3D pinwheels, gonna have to make some. So pretty fabrics.
Adorable pin cushion. I have yet to try the 3D pinwheel.
Great idea! I think I have a leftover pinwheel from my quilt… now I will need to turn it into a pincushion! xx
Cute pncushion – like how you used the ‘wheel’ to keep your clips. Mine have a special box but they tend to be all over the place.
Cute idea! Thanks for sharing!
Great Project!
