Virtual Christmas Cookie Exchange: Facebook Live

Hello and welcome to Inflorescence Designs! I have been absent for some time due to some great changes in my life. Back in May, I accepted a teaching position, teaching preschool-8th grade Art and middle school STEAM. Working full time as well as working towards my teaching certification, means I have been sewing a little bit less. It has been an amazing transition back into the working world and I love being an art teacher. I have even introduced many fiber art projects to my students including teaching my 8th graders how to sew, my 6th graders cross stitch and my 7th graders all about quilting.

For my day on the hop, I want to invite you to my Facebook Live tonight. I will be sharing how to create a fun Ugly Sweater Mini Quilt. TONIGHT at 8:30 PM EST, I will be hosting a Facebook Live for Thermoweb! Check out the Facebook page early so your request to join can be accepted before the live starts!

I will be demonstrating how to make an Ugly Sweater Mini Quilt! Find all the details and materials over on Thermoweb’s blog. Be sure to drop a comment if you watch! Thermoweb usually gives away an online gift card to one or two lucky viewers of the show!

This tutorial will also share how to add tabs to the back of your mini quilts to beautifully hang your quilts to a mini quilt frame.

Can’t made the LIVE? Find the full YouTube video after the show! I’ll be sure to post it here!

In the meantime, check out all the other amazing blogger and projects from the hop.

  1. Congratulations on the teaching job! I loved teaching up to the day I retired. 🙂 The sweater quilt is cute–I like the fabrics you chose for the sweaters. The fact that it fits in that little frame is a plus too. Keep up the good work!

  2. You are a busy girl these days. Thanks for playing in our hops and wishing you the best for your bright future as a teacher. Happy Holidays!

  3. My internet was down since yesterday at noon so I’m late for the party…sorry! Sometimes going back to work is hard, but it sounds like your job is good for you. You ugly sweater quilt is adorable. Thanks for sharing and being a part of this blog hop, Julia! xo
