* Does anyone have these gems laying around?
We used to have several including the ones with numbers and letters. I found that the letters and numbers were what cleaning nightmares were made of. My daughter loved to pull the little pieces that filled in the spaces between the letters and then my dog loved to chew them. I have since removed those foam floor pieces from my home and almost did the same with the solid foam pieces.
I am glad I didn’t! I started using them in my craft room for my sewing projects. I use them for blocking and for designing my quilt blocks. I love that you can keep it small with just one block or link several together! The foam allows you to place pins in it and they hold tight. I am planning on adding those 3M Velcro command strips so I can put the foam on the wall.
I also found it nice to put my background fabric over the primary colored blocks to help see what my quilt blocks will look like when I am using them for designing my quilt blocks.
