Crafter’s Edge recently came out with some new dies, and I finally got to try them out. One of the new dies is Nesting Jars. They are so cute, and I already can see all the possibilities I can make with them. For my first time trying them I made a small, appliqued Fall hanger. Check out the tutorial below and you can make your very own!

- Basic sewing notions
Instructions:
Begin by adhering the fusible to the wrong side of your fabric. Next, cut out 4 jars, the letters and the jar sleeves (4 1/4″ x 3 3/4″).
Next, fuse the jars to the front fabric piece. Place the jars one inch apart from each other. Fuse the remaining pieces.
Continue by basting the front, batting and backing. Applique using your methods of choice. With Thermoweb’s Lite and FeatherLite you need to sew it down. If you don’t want to sew, use the Ultra fusible in the red packaging.
Next, add your binding. If you plan on hanging this piece include the hangers in this step on the back. The flower embellishments were made using Crafter’s Edge Flower Die set and Mini Circle Set 1. I cut out the small and medium flowers for the cream flowers and the blue roses were made by using the large flower die. The leaves were cut free form. To make the rosette, cut the large flower in a spiral and spin closed. I used Thermoweb’s fabric fuse to glue the flowers together and to the quilt.
Thanks for stopping by! Happy Sewing.
