It’s been over a month since my last quilt block challenge update and I am sorry to say not too much has happened.
I would have loved to make a dent in my orphan quilt block pile but time got the better of me and my eagerness to continue creating other things may have got in the way.
I know it might just be an excuse but I have new responsibilities earlier in the morning. I used to get to sew for about an hour a day each morning before the the rest of the house was even up but now I am not able to use that time.
But I digress…
I did get the binding on my two flower wall hangings.

These two quilts will hang in our new guest room. Our eldest child decided she wanted to share a room with her younger sister and the youngest was eager for this arrangement as well. Because of this, our older daughters old bedroom is now a guest room. The décor was already floral themed so these two beauties will look great on the wall.
In my stack of orphan blocks I also have several gardening 12″ blocks I will sew into another wall piece to accompany the two flower quilts. I was able to start sewing them. See below!

Did you make any progress with your orphan blocks?
Happy sewing!
